Now with almost 50,000 casks in the distillery warehouses, they are lucky enough to boast Vintages dating back as far as the 1970s, as well as a fantastic array of wood types sourced meticulously from all over the world.
It is from this multitude of casks that Master Blender, Billy Walker, has carefully crafted a very limited release: The GlenAllachie 21 year old cask strength, Batch 1. Working with Vintages from across 1997 and 1998, Billy ultimately selected and married together 5 casks; a mouth-watering combination of Pedro Ximénez Puncheons and Hogsheads. Each individual cask adds its own unique influence, with the sum ultimately greater than its parts. Only 1,600 bottles are available worldwide.
